KloutID – Terms of Service
Last updated: October 27, 2025
Thank you for using KloutID. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our platform, services, and applications. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who We Are
KloutID is a platform that helps e-commerce brands identify, verify, and reward authentic creators who have already shown interest in their products. Through integrations with social media platforms (such as TikTok and YouTube) and commerce platforms like Shopify, we enable organic collaborations between brands and creators.
2. Eligibility and Registration
- You must be at least 18 years old to use our services.
- By creating an account, you confirm that:
- You have the legal capacity to accept these Terms.
- All the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
- We may conduct verification processes using social media or other methods to confirm account authenticity and eligibility.
3. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- Some features may require you to connect or authenticate through third-party platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, or Google Sign-In.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts in cases of misuse, fraud, identity misrepresentation, or other violations of these Terms.
4. TikTok Login and Connected TikTok Data
KloutID allows you to connect your TikTok account to verify that you’re a real creator and to match you with brand opportunities.
When you authorize KloutID in TikTok, TikTok shows you the specific permissions you are granting. These permissions may include allowing KloutID to:
- Access your profile info (avatar and display name)
- Read additional profile information such as your bio description, profile link, and account verification status
- Read your profile engagement statistics, such as like count, follower count, following count, and video count
- Read your public videos on TikTok, including public video metadata such as captions, thumbnails, publish dates, and publicly visible stats
How KloutID uses TikTok data:
- To confirm that your account is genuine and active (anti-fraud / anti-bot)
- To understand your audience size, general engagement level, and the types of products or categories you talk about
- To match you with relevant brands and surface perks like discounts, gifting/PR boxes, early access drops, affiliate-style codes, and collaboration opportunities
- To generate high-level summaries for merchants so they can evaluate whether to offer you something (for example: “Lifestyle creator with strong engagement in skincare content”)
What KloutID does not do with TikTok data (unless you separately and explicitly authorize it):
- We do not post, edit, or delete content on TikTok on your behalf
- We do not send messages or otherwise contact people through your TikTok account
- We do not access non-public messages, payment information, or other private data outside of what you approved
- We do not sell your non-public TikTok data
Data shared with merchants: We may share summarized, high-level information (for example: “Beauty creator with high engagement and consistent skincare content”), so brands can decide whether to extend an offer. We do not give brands direct access to your TikTok account or disclose private/non-public metrics unless you explicitly agree for a specific campaign.
Revoking access: You can revoke KloutID’s access to TikTok at any time in your TikTok account settings. If you revoke access, KloutID will stop receiving new TikTok data and will either delete or anonymize previously collected TikTok data as described in our Privacy and Cookie Policy.
By using the TikTok login feature, you agree to this data access and usage model.
5. YouTube Login and Connected YouTube Data
KloutID also allows you to connect your YouTube account via Google/YouTube OAuth.
When you authorize KloutID in YouTube, you may grant us certain read permissions. These may include:
- View your videos and playlists — We may retrieve information about the videos and playlists associated with your channel, such as titles, thumbnails, publish dates, and view counts, to the extent allowed by the permission you approved.
- View your YouTube activity — We may access high-level activity signals that indicate your channel is active and authentic.
How KloutID uses YouTube data:
- To verify that you are a real, active creator
- To understand the type of content you create (for example: skincare routines, fashion hauls, tech reviews, workout tips)
- To determine whether you may be a good fit for offers from specific brands (discounts, gifting/PR boxes, affiliate-style codes, collaboration opportunities)
- To personalize your dashboard inside KloutID so you see opportunities that are relevant to you
What KloutID does not do with YouTube data (unless you separately and explicitly authorize it):
- We do not post, edit, or delete videos on your behalf
- We do not “run” or manage your channel
- We do not access private or unlisted video performance, private revenue or AdSense data, or private messages
- We do not sell your non-public YouTube data
Data shared with merchants: We may provide brands with high-level, non-sensitive summaries (for example: “Active skincare creator posting routine videos in the last 30 days”), so they can assess potential collaboration. We do not give brands direct access to your YouTube account, and we do not disclose private/non-public metrics unless you explicitly approve that disclosure for a specific campaign.
Revoking access: You can revoke KloutID’s access to YouTube at any time in your Google Account permissions. If you revoke access, KloutID will stop receiving new YouTube data and will either delete or anonymize previously collected YouTube data as described in our Privacy and Cookie Policy.
By using the YouTube login feature, you agree to this data access and usage model.
6. Google Sign-In
KloutID also supports “Sign in with Google” so you can create or access your KloutID account quickly.
When you choose to sign in with Google, Google will allow KloutID to access basic information from your Google account, which may include:
- Your name
- Your Google account profile picture
How KloutID uses Google Sign-In data:
- To create your KloutID account or sign you in
- To personalize your in-product experience (for example, showing your name and avatar in your dashboard)
What KloutID does not do with Google Sign-In data:
- We do not post to your Google account
- We do not access your Gmail, contacts, calendar, or Drive
- We do not sell this data
Revoking access: You can manage or revoke KloutID’s access to your Google account at any time in your Google Account permissions. If you revoke access, we will stop receiving any updates from Google and will handle previously received data as described in our Privacy and Cookie Policy.
By using the Google Sign-In feature, you agree to this limited data access and usage model.
7. How KloutID Works for Creators
KloutID connects your social presence (for example TikTok or YouTube) with Shopify stores and brands you’ve actually engaged with (browsing, buying, opting into drops).
If you meet a brand’s eligibility criteria, you may receive:
- Exclusive discount codes
- Gifting / PR boxes
- Early access offers
- Creator / affiliate-style collaboration opportunities
Your access to these benefits depends on:
- The information you provide
- The permissions you grant (for example TikTok, YouTube, or Google Sign-In)
- Your continued compliance with these Terms and applicable law
You can disconnect any platform at any time, which stops new data from that platform from flowing into KloutID.
8. How KloutID Works for Merchants (Shopify)
- Brands must install the KloutID Shopify App to use our services.
- By doing so, you authorize us to access:
- Order history
- Customer contact details
- Relevant behavioral data (for example, that a specific buyer has shown interest or already purchased from you)
- KloutID uses this data to help identify real customers who are also real creators, so that you can invite them into gated offers, seeding/gifting programs, or collaborations.
- KloutID will only use this data to identify and qualify eligible creators, and we will comply with all applicable data protection laws (for example, GDPR and CCPA). We do not sell this data.
9. Fees and Billing (For Merchants Only)
- Some features are subject to paid plans, which will be clearly presented within the platform.
- We reserve the right to update pricing with at least 30 days’ notice.
- You are responsible for all applicable charges unless you cancel your subscription before the next billing cycle.
10. Acceptable Use
You may not use KloutID to:
- Engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading behavior
- Falsify creator identities or brand identities
- Artificially inflate engagement or impersonate social accounts
- Upload or distribute malware, viruses, or other malicious code
- Infringe on intellectual property, privacy rights, or applicable laws
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently disable access if these rules are violated.
11. Intellectual Property
- All rights to the platform, source code, trademarks, logos, and content belong to KloutID or its licensors.
- You may not:
- Copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works based on our content
- Use our trademarks without prior written consent
12. Confidentiality (For Merchants Only)
- You agree to keep confidential any non-public information shared during the use of our service, including creator lists, eligibility insights, performance summaries, and brand strategies.
- This confidentiality obligation remains in effect even after you stop using the service.
13. Privacy and Data Protection
Please refer to our Privacy and Cookie Policy to learn how we collect, use, retain, and safeguard your data — including data obtained (with your permission) from TikTok, YouTube, Google Sign-In, and Shopify.
You have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of certain personal data, and in some regions you may object to processing or request portability.
We retain personal data only as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, and resolve disputes.
14. Limitation of Liability
- KloutID provides the platform “as is” and does not guarantee uninterrupted service or specific business outcomes.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, KloutID shall not be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
- Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
15. Termination
- You may close your account at any time through your user dashboard.
- We may suspend or terminate access if you:
- Violate these Terms or applicable laws
- Provide false or misleading information
- Pose a security, fraud, or misuse risk to the platform, to brands, or to other creators
- Sections that logically survive termination (for example, intellectual property, confidentiality, limitation of liability, and governing law) will remain in effect even after termination.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Any material changes will be communicated via email or through the platform.
Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
- Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in the United States, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
