KloutID – Privacy and Cookie Policy

KloutID, Inc. (“KloutID”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your personal information and respecting your privacy. This Privacy and Cookie Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your data when you use our services — including our website, app, integrations (such as TikTok and YouTube), Google Sign-In, and our Shopify app (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Who We Are

KloutID helps brands identify and reward creators based on genuine interest and behavior. Our services include social media verification and creator-brand matching through e-commerce integrations like Shopify.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect and process the following categories of personal information. What we collect depends on (a) whether you are a creator or a merchant, and (b) which platforms you connect and which permissions you approve.

Account Information

• Name
• Email address
• Profile image / avatar
• Social media usernames / handles (for example, TikTok handle, YouTube channel handle)
• Shopify store URL and business contact info (for merchants)

We may also receive your basic Google account identity information when you choose “Sign in with Google,” such as your name and profile picture, so that we can create or sign you into your KloutID account.

Behavioral & Commerce Engagement Data

• Purchase history or site interactions from Shopify (for example, that you bought from or engaged with a brand’s store)
• Participation in campaigns, gated offers, loyalty drops, or creator programs on KloutID
• Signals that indicate interest in a brand (for example, you requested a discount code or applied for gifting)

Creator Channel / Content Data (platform-specific)

When you connect a social account, you may grant KloutID permission to read certain information from that account. This differs by platform:

TikTok

When you connect TikTok, you may allow KloutID to:

• Access your profile info (avatar and display name)
• Read additional profile information such as bio description, profile link, and account verification status
• Read your profile engagement statistics, such as like count, follower count, following count, and video count
• Read your public videos on TikTok, including public video metadata (captions, thumbnails, publish dates, publicly visible stats)

We use this to confirm you’re a real, active creator; understand the type of content you produce; and evaluate audience fit and reach so brands can decide whether to extend offers (discounts, PR boxes, gifting, affiliate-style codes, collabs, etc.).

YouTube

When you connect YouTube via Google/YouTube OAuth, you may allow KloutID to:

• View your videos and playlists (metadata such as titles, thumbnails, publish dates, and view counts)
• View your YouTube activity at a high level so we can confirm that the channel is active and authentic

We use this to understand your content category (beauty, fitness, tech, etc.), verify that you’re actively creating, and match you with relevant brand opportunities.

Across TikTok and YouTube, we do not collect private revenue / AdSense data, direct messages, draft content, payment info, or the ability to post, edit, or delete content on your behalf.

Technical Data

• IP address, browser type, device information
• Login timestamps and access logs

Cookie & Tracking Technologies

• Site usage analytics
• Referral and attribution data
• Preferences and session details

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (e.g., biometric, health, or financial data).

3. Social Logins and Connected Platforms

TikTok Connection

When you authorize KloutID in TikTok, TikTok shows you the permissions you are granting. These may include:

• Access your profile info (avatar and display name)
• Read your additional profile information (bio description, profile link, verification status)
• Read your profile engagement statistics (like count, follower count, following count, and video count)
• Read your public videos on TikTok

How we use TikTok data:

• Verify that you are a genuine, active creator (anti-fraud / anti-bot)
• Understand your audience size, engagement level, and content themes
• Match you with brands, so they can decide whether to offer discounts, gifting/PR boxes, affiliate-style codes, early access drops, or collaboration opportunities
• Provide brands with high-level eligibility summaries

What we do not do with TikTok data:

• We do not post, edit, or delete TikTok content for you
• We do not DM people on your behalf
• We do not collect private messages, payment info, or non-approved private data
• We do not sell your non-public TikTok data

You can revoke TikTok access at any time (see Section 7).

YouTube Connection

When you authorize KloutID in YouTube via Google OAuth, you may grant permissions such as:

• “View your videos and playlists” — We can retrieve metadata about your channel’s videos and playlists (titles, thumbnails, publish dates, and view counts)
• “View your YouTube activity” — We can access high-level activity signals that confirm that your channel is active and authentic

How we use YouTube data:

• Verify that you’re a real, active creator
• Understand what type of content you create and who it’s for
• Match you with relevant brands for perks (discount codes, gifting/PR, affiliate-style deals, collaborations)
• Personalize the opportunities you see in KloutID

What we do not do with YouTube data:

• We do not post, edit, or delete videos on your behalf
• We do not run or manage your channel
• We do not access private/unlisted video performance, revenue / AdSense data, or private messages
• We do not sell your non-public YouTube data

You can revoke YouTube access at any time (see Section 7).

Google Sign-In

You can also sign in to KloutID using Google (“Sign in with Google”). When you do this, Google will allow KloutID to access basic account information such as:

• Your name
• Your Google account profile picture

We use this solely to:

• Create or sign you in to your KloutID account
• Personalize your account experience (for example, showing your name and avatar in the dashboard)

What we do not do with Google Sign-In data:

• We do not post anything to your Google account
• We do not access your emails, contacts, calendar, or Drive
• We do not sell this information

You can manage or revoke KloutID’s Google access at any time via your Google Account.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

• Match creators with brands based on activity, reach, engagement, and content type
• Provide personalized offers, gated discounts, gifting, affiliate-style codes, and collaboration opportunities
• Operate and improve the KloutID platform, including analytics, debugging, fraud prevention, and testing
• Communicate with you regarding product updates, service announcements, and relevant offers
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and enforce our Terms of Service
• Prevent fraud, fake creator accounts, and misuse of our services

5. Legal Basis for Processing

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we only process your data where we have a legal basis to do so:

Consent

• TikTok connection / permissions
• YouTube connection / permissions
• Google Sign-In
• Direct marketing
• Certain cookies / tracking where required by law

Contractual necessity

• To provide our services to you (for example, letting you access your creator dashboard and receive offers)

Legitimate interests

• To fight fraud, keep the platform secure, and improve the creator-brand matching experience

Legal obligation

• Where we are required to comply with applicable law or regulatory requests

6. How We Share Your Information

We may share your data with:

Merchants on our platform

To help them understand whether you’re a good fit for a perk or partnership.

• For TikTok: we may share high-level summaries like “Lifestyle creator with strong engagement in skincare.”
• For YouTube: we may share summaries like “Active skincare creator posting routine videos recently.”

We do not give brands direct access to your accounts, and we do not disclose private or non-public metrics unless you explicitly approve that disclosure for a specific campaign.

Third-party service providers

Vendors that support our operations (analytics, hosting, cloud storage, communication tools, fraud prevention, security).

These vendors are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.

Legal or regulatory authorities

Where required to comply with legal obligations or protect rights, safety, or property.

We do not sell your personal data.

7. Data Retention & Control

You control your connections:

• TikTok: You can revoke KloutID’s access in your TikTok account settings.
• YouTube: You can revoke KloutID’s access in your Google Account permissions.
• Google Sign-In: You can manage or revoke KloutID’s access in your Google Account at any time.

When you revoke access to a platform:

• KloutID stops receiving new data from that platform.
• We will either (a) delete the previously collected data from that integration from our active systems, or (b) anonymize it so it is only used internally for fraud prevention, security, and aggregate analytics without identifying you personally.

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to:

• Fulfill the purposes described in this Policy
• Comply with legal, tax, or regulatory requirements
• Resolve disputes and enforce our Terms

Once data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it securely.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location (such as the EEA, UK, or California), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you, including any TikTok, YouTube, or Google Sign-In data you authorized us to receive
• Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information
• Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”)
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time (for example, by revoking TikTok, YouTube, or Google permissions, or opting out of marketing)

You may also opt out of marketing communications or request deletion of your personal data by contacting support@kloutid.com. We may require identity verification before processing your request to protect your account.

9. International Data Transfers

KloutID operates globally and processes data in the United States. By using our Service, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your data outside of your country of residence. Where applicable, we rely on standard contractual clauses (SCCs) or other lawful transfer mechanisms to safeguard data transferred internationally.

10. Security Measures

We implement administrative, technical, and physical security controls to protect your data against unauthorized access, misuse, or loss. These include:

• Encryption in transit and at rest
• Role-based access controls
• Internal security policies and staff training

No system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

11. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

KloutID uses cookies and similar technologies (like pixels and local storage) to:

• Understand usage behavior
• Remember preferences and settings
• Measure and improve performance
• Personalize content and offers

You may adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies. However, disabling cookies may limit the functionality of the Service.

12. Children’s Privacy

KloutID is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or via the platform. The revised version will take effect as of the “Effective Date” listed at the top. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
